How to Not Lose Touch with Your Sweetie

It is so easy to lose touch with your beloved partner.  In these modern times, it has become easier and easier to tune in to the television, your computer, your phone or your iPad.  This means you are tuning out from your sweetheart and your intimate relationship.  It may not seem so at first, but eventually, even being turned on by your lover will wane and become second to today’s media and digital gadgets and other things you fill your life with.  It is vital to stay tuned in to your relationship and to your partner so that you stay turned on by them too!  Only then can you work towards experiencing a long-lasting committed relationship filled with love and trust.

Relationships are actually spiritual paths for each of us.  Your romantic intimate relationship is the most profound of all.  It will offer you a mirror for your deepest emotions, expressions, neurotic patterns (we ALL have them), love, compassion, and humor to be reflected back to you in some fashion.

So, how can you reignite intimacy and sensual pleasure in your relationship?  And, if you still have it, how can you take it to the next level?

A Quick Note About Sensuality vs. Sexuality

More often than not if someone says to you, “That was a sensual delight.”  Your mind will instantly think “sex”.  But, sensual pleasure is really about gratifying the senses – all of them – not just the five physical ones.  You don’t have to involve physical lovemaking to experience your sensuality.  Delighting in the sight of your lover, hearing his/her laugh, smelling a special cologne, holding hands or sharing a massage, or tasting his/her lips are sensual experiences.  Connecting to your own soul, your lover’s soul, and your spirituality is also very sensual.

Know YOU – Get Connected to Your Own Soul

Getting in touch with yourself, with your soul is the first step in reigniting or upleveling your intimate and sensual pleasure in life and in your relationship.  If you aren’t aware of your spirituality, simply focus on getting in touch with YOU.  Whatever or whoever you are to you.

The easiest and quickest way to reconnect with your soul is by first recognizing those things in your life that simply light you up inside.  They feel like they are the wind in your sails.  These things can be anything: drumming; singing; teaching; hiking; swimming; dancing; laughing; making love; cooking; gardening; cycling; etc.  There is no right or wrong.  Only you have the answer to what makes you feel this way.  The second step is to make sure you have some of these unique-to-you things in your life daily, weekly, monthly.  Bring them in to your life as often as you can.

You will be happier and this happiness will feed into your relationship.  Share these joys with your lover.

Know Your Sweetheart – Connect to His/Her Soul

This will take your relationship to a deeper level.  Once you (re)connect with your soul – yourself, it is vital that you connect with your sweetheart in a similar way.  What makes him/her light up?  How can you support that and bring more of that into your lives?  If both of you do this and then share it together, you will discover a beautiful aspect of your relationship that you may not have been aware of before.

Communicate

Communication is key to every single aspect of your relationship.  Yet, not everyone communicates in the same way.  You may be able to talk about your joys, your sorrows, what happened at work today, what the dog did to irritate you, what your best friend posted on your Facebook wall and what is upsetting you in your relationship.  But, your lover may not be able to easily talk about these things.  We can express our feelings through ways other than verbal communication.  It may come through singing, painting, or drawing.  Of course, one of the biggest ways to communicate is through body language.  Be fully present and truly pay attention to your lover.  Listen – deeply – to what he/she may say.  Observe his/her actions or reactions.  There are clues and often, clear messages even if the two of you communicate very differently.

Share Laughter and Play Together

Don’t take life or yourself too seriously.  Yes, of course, there are very serious aspects, but letting go and goofing around, laughing and being playful is a huge key to happiness and feeling joyful.  This will deepen the closeness between the two of you, which will ultimately help you enhance your sensuality overall.

Laugh at the dinner table.  Laugh while brushing your teeth.  Laugh throughout your day anywhere and everywhere that you can.  And, for God’s sake, laugh in the bedroom!

Share inside jokes with each other.  Maybe they will relate to a funny bedroom experience or something completely different, but they will be your little secret.  People will envy your closeness.  Allow yourselves to be like two young lovebirds giggling and whispering.

Sharing more laughter with each other and deepening your intimate bond will open a doorway for the two of you to experience powerful, playful passion all day long.  You will be able to feel it pretty much everyday.  Draw upon it when something gets you down or something causes you stress.

Continue to Learn and Grow Together

Continually seek new things to learn.  You can take classes together or pick up a new hobby together.  Yet, be bold enough to have new experiences individually, too.  By honoring and respecting your lover’s individuality you are helping the two of you grow.  You need to honor and respect YOU, your lover, and your relationship.  You are teammates, but you don’t need to stay attached at the hip all the time either.

Step outside your comfort zone.  Oh boy, this is a big one!  You can’t grow and sustain a beautiful relationship if you refuse to step outside of your comfort zone.  If you allow fear (fear of failing, fear of rejection, fear of looking like an idiot, fear of???) to keep you within in the boundaries of what you know already, then you prevent yourself from the potentiality of amazing new experiences and from continued growth.  Staying in your comfort zone without learning to step outside of it (even just a tiny baby step) will cause your life to become stagnate.  Hmmm…what will that do your relationship?

Imagine a beautiful flowing stream always moving and changing when the need arises.  Hear the gentle trickle and smell the fresh air. Now imagine a stagnant pool of water with debris piled up in it.  No pleasant sounds of moving water and a nasty stench to boot.  Would you prefer to continue gently flowing into the unknown or stay stagnate and backed-up?

Put It All Together

Get in touch with you.  Truly know your own soul.  Dive deep into whom your partner/lover/spouse is and whom he/she becomes as you continue your path together.  Communicate on numerous levels.  Talk to your lover, but be aware of your other forms of communication – body language, eye contact, and much more.  Be playful and bring more laughter into your lives.  Intentionally and willingly step outside of your comfort zone so that you continue to learn and experience new things.

These are simple ways to not only reignite your passion for your relationship, but for your life.  When passion and deep intimacy is sustained in your romantic relationship, your relationship will be stronger and more beautiful than you may ever have imagined.

Touch Me Here! Touch Me There! (Part 7 of 8 - Ways We Communicate w/Lovers)

Touch Him!  Touch Her!

Part 7 of 8

Touch - Touching our partner is certainly a way to communicate.  Let me give you an
example – let’s say your partner becomes upset with someone and a conversation begins to become heated between them.

You could gently lay your hand on your partner’s arm or back.  He/she will know you are there to support and perhaps calm him/her.  Another time we can use touch is when we pass each other in the hall or in the kitchen.  We can simply offer a light touch of the hand or a quick hug as we pass by.  Those light touches let our partners know that way love them and want to touch them.

Skype Me, Darlin (Part 6 of 8 - Ways We Communicate w/Lovers)

Facetime, Skype....Use your webcam and see each other
No matter how far apart you are....

Part 6 of 8

Webcam – Nowadays if we are going to be apart for a few days or even a few months, we can use webcam to see each other.  Many years ago when our partners would go off to war we had to hand write letters and then wait weeks, maybe even months, before we would hear back from them.  Now, not only can we talk on our cell phones at times, use email or perhaps texting, we can use webcam to actually see them.  We take this for granted now, but we should remember just how amazing technology really is in helping us communicate with our loves.

Spiritual Awakening - How to Unlock Your Full Brain Capacity

**Note: I can't say that I agree with everything in this article.  But, the point is to give you a different perspective and something to ponder as well as chat about with your sweetie.  Could lead to some very deep conversation. - JA

Spiritual Awakening - How to Unlock Your Full Brain Capacity

Expert Author Tomas Coimin
'Always remember nothing is as it seems because life can be very inspiring when we shed our limitations... thus we live... '
There are three sides to you a) human being, b) spirit enjoying the experience of being human. However, because of nonsense we have separated from spirit but now we shall reconnect and c) Divine Light heart centre which is your link with spirit and universal intelligence i.e. LOVE...
Frankly there is no such thing as spiritual awakening because in essence you are awakening the human side to the realisation that spirit is always present. You are not spiritual, ever, you are spirit the rest is semantics. You are spirit anyway so there is nothing to be but yourself.
As for full brain capacity well, that is part and parcel of being awake with spirit, thus your primary and sole concern is to realise your full potential through spirit. Do not get bogged down in hyper-nonsense but accept the endless possibilities that shall unfold as you grow with spirit. You shall find out too that what you as a human think of as full brain capacity is something else entirely.
However, it is imperative to possess optimal psychological health, as we have been taught by Maslow if we are to enjoy and experience awakening. In Maslow's view, self-actualized people can have many peak experiences throughout a day while others have those experiences less frequently.
If you epitomise Maslow's findings then you are rather comfortable differentiating truth from bullology plus you are quite creative and spontaneous. Besides you shall not be too influenced by societies conventions thus you shall be free to discover and become an awakened enlightened spirit.
a) Meditate and never stop listening even while you work because you are going to develop meditation in motion.
b) To awaken ones spirit connectedness with all the added benefits requires total annihilation of experiences and teachings learned previously. One must shed all attachments to every living thing and then some. What in fact you are actually doing is stepping aside but with the knowing of relevance, thus your perspective is aligned with spirit not the human side of you.
c) One must be as blank as a page and as clear as a sparkling pane of glass in order to appreciate alternative outlooks that shed light on our endless possibilities. Then with new eyes, eyes of the awakened senses, one begins to know what previously was unseen.
d) To assist your journey read as many illuminating books by notable authors like Wallace B Wattles, James Allen, Alan Watts, Adyashanti, and St. Germain, Shakespeare etc. Of course study scriptures with an absolutely open mind guided through discernment and creativity. Remember all scriptures are written symbolically not literally; thus be wise with discernment.
e) One remarkable work is found in Sacred Texts written by Manly P. Hall titled 'THE SECRET TEACHINGS OF ALL AGES'. This is one of the most illuminating books imaginable and worthy of studying if you truly desire a broader comprehension of the machinations carried on through the centuries and the reasons we are currently brainwashed by irresponsible religions, politicians and industry.
f) A surprising book I just found through the voice of a two thousand year old YEW titled 'The Story of Yew' by Guido Mina di Sospiro is also worth reading. This book is filled with creative philosophies but gives us a compelling account of how humanity has ignored the overall picture of nature at our peril.
g) What we learn as we awaken is the absolute necessity to address our behaviours towards our planet and if our journey is not self-centred then we shall grow exponentially with the assistance of the entire picture of nature. Working with trees and other plants is highly recommended as is working and spending time with all facets of nature because essentially we are nature; undivided and united en masse.
h) To know Oneness and accept that there is no such thing as superiority / inferiority but unity is a humungous step towards awakening the full extent of spirit.
i) We are not awakening our full brain capacity per se but unlocking the doors that blocked our communion with Universal knowledge. Thus, we merge as it were with DIVINE INTELLIGENCE and appear as if our brain has woken up but in reality it has become one with Divine or Universal LOVE. LOVE is everything, Love is Universal Intelligence; thus let us know LOVE.
Namaste! May wisdom guide your steps through this wondrous illuminating experience.
Awakening is not a trip to the supermarket or a minute in a religious house - it is opening the page to your true self and the first of many that indicate the truth not perceived truth. Become the conqueror you are born to be and make the commitment to live with hugs, smiles, love and gratitude as the veil of confusion lifts. Thank you. Namaste! Drop me a Line! (Part 5 of 8 - Ways We Communicate with our Lover)

Remember to be discreet with your emails!
Who know who might be looking over your shoulder.

Part 5 of 8

Email – This is not that different than texting
except that this is an opportunity to write a good deal more.  In fact, this can replace the sweet
handwritten love letter of a couple of decades ago.  We can add fancy artwork or pictures to our
emails.  We can use different colors and
fonts.  Many of us receive our email on
our phones too – so we have quick and easy access to each other’s messages.

8 Dirty Little Secrets to Keep The Spark Alive

Dirty Little Secrets That Will Keep The Spark Alive

Everybody knows that after the “honeymoon” phase is over that the mundane sets in.  It may take you a few months or a few years, but eventually everyday life takes hold and for almost every couple the excitement they experienced in the beginning fades to a dull ho-hum rut.

Yet, there are a few dirty little secrets that can keep the spark alive.  Why are these secrets dirty?  Well, they have been used over and over by millions of couples to get through the tough times, to languish together in the easier times, to keep their relationship charged in the mediocre times.  Yep…after all that use these secrets have a little dirt on them.  So, let’s dig in.

1.     Communicate!  Oh Boy!  That one seems obvious doesn’t it, but it is true!  If you don’t talk, text, or physically communicate what you want, don’t want, like and don’t like, you are going to experience more arguments and, on top of that, you will grow apart.  Oh crap!!
2.    Be courageous.  Being in a long-term relationship is one of the scariest and hardest things you could ever do.  You have to be brave enough to face the deepest parts of yourself and of your lover.  Because the longer you are together – the more likely those parts will show up.  Mind you, this is also a wonderful opportunity to grow within a safe and trusting space.
3.    Have consistency.  Be honest – always.  Be yourself.  We all have different moods, but do your best to be who you truly are with your partner always.  Having no idea what to expect from your sweetheart from day-to-day will cause a lot of stress and perhaps, eventually, a break in your relationship.
4.    Make lots of love!  The spark doesn’t have to fade in this area either if you are willing to find new things for the two of you to try.  Ah, a great reason to have Sexy Challenges in your life!  And, the more often you make love the more often the body continues to want to.  It is like a muscle after all…use it or lose it!
5.    Continue growing (separately and together).  Learning new things as a couple is definitely a key to keep spice in your love life.  This will help keep boredom at bay.  But, don’t forget to learn new things individually as well.  Then you can come home and share about your new experiences, adventures, knowledge with your sweetheart.
6.    Be clear about what you want. You need to know what you want in your life and out of your relationship.  If you don’t really have a clue, then how can you expect to find happiness and maintain it?  For that matter, if your partner doesn’t know what you want, how can he/she be expected to share in things that bring your happiness?
7.    Learn from others…rinse and repeat!  Learn from experts about different things.  How did they stay together?  What have they learned in their studies?  What do they know?  What does ancient history show?  How are people managing in today’s society?  But, remember to always take that information, rinse it off…getting rid of the stuff that doesn’t fit the two of you, then, and only then, repeat the parts that make sense to you.
8.    Be committed.  Make a promise not only to yourself, but to your beloved to do everything you can to make your relationship work and to keep it fresh and filled with sparks.

Text Me, Sexy! (Ways We Communicate 4 of 8)

Part 4 of 8

Texting – Modern technology has changed the way
we communicate with family, friends and yes, even our partners.  It is important to consider whether or not we
use texting to our benefit.  Texting a
loving or even sexy message during the day to our lover can be sweet and
fun.  Sending a text to “freaking stop
and get milk” with no other message can seem rude and thoughtless.  Unless we use all caps or exclamation points
or add words or symbols of love texting remains flat with no emotion.  We also must be aware of responding to
someone else’s text while we are supposed to be focused on our partner – such
as while having dinner together.

Baby, Look Me in the Eyes (Ways We Communicate 3 of 8)

Part 3 of 8

Eye Contact – Do you have good eye contact with
your partner?  I briefly mentioned that
under body language, but it can be such a big way to communicate that I wanted
to pull it out separately too.  How about
if we are at a function and we are more than ready to leave?  We catch our partner’s eye and silently send
him/her the message with just our look.
Other times simply making eye contact is enough when we encounter
something hilarious, but it is an inappropriate time to laugh or we are shocked
about something, but can’t say so out loud.
This silent communication between two people is exceptionally powerful.

Talk w/Your Body (Ways We Communicate 2 of 8)

Touch, lean into, and smile....

Part 2 of 8

Body Language – Paying attention to our partners’
body language can tell us if he/she is interested in what we have to say, if
he/she is bored, if he/she is angry and so on.

Some obvious signs include when our partner folds his/her arms, turns
away from us, does the eye roll, draws a long breath, etc.
More positive body language may include leaning
into us, making eye contact, nodding the head.

When we pay attention to our partners’ body language and even our own
when listening to our partner we can discover a lot more about our level of
communication.

Baby, Talk to Me (Part 1 of 8 - Ways We Communicate)

(Above = Ummm....probably not the best way to communicate!)

Part 1 of 8

There are numerous ways we can communicate with our partners.  You may not have considered
some of the ones we will share over the next few weeks.  We do not all communicate the same; therefore we should not expect our partner to communicate in a specific way.  We need to learn how
he/she communicates best and work with that.  At the same time, it is important for both partners to make an effort to meet in the middle.  Communication and adjusting our way of communicating should not be one-sided.  It takes both of us wanting to communicate to truly re-open and/or keep those lines open.

Below I am going to touch briefly on eight different types of communication.  Consider how many of
these you incorporate into your relationship.  If they aren’t there, could you pay more attention to them and increase them?  Changing just one aspect of your relationship ultimately changes the entire relationship.  This means that one by one you can transform your relationship.  All communication can
build trust and a deeper bond in your relationship, but I believe that a good combination of the different types is very important for both of you and for your relationship as a whole.

Talking – Talking is the most obvious way we communicate with each other and perhaps, may be the only way some consider when discussing communication.  Yet, there are far more ways that we communicate with each other than just talking.  Talking is not easy for everyone to do and we need to take that into account when considering how best to communicate with our partners.  Does your partner
interrupt you when you are talking?  Do you change the subject and cut-off your partner?  Do you feel that your partner really listens when you talk?  Another factor to take into consideration is that the meaning of words can vary even for two people who are very close.
