The Story Behind the Glass

Line up of Beer Glasses

The Story Behind the Glass

How a Simple Pint Glass Became a Collection of Memories

Some people bring home postcards.
Some collect magnets.
Some take thousands of photos they may or may not ever look at again.

Me?

I collect beer glasses.

But here’s the thing—it’s never just been about the glass.

It’s about the experience behind it, the story inside it, and the memories it holds long after the trip is over.

A Tradition Born from Adventure

At some point along the way, I created a simple rule for myself:

Every trip I go on, I visit at least one local brewery.

It doesn’t matter if I’m in a big city, a small town, or somewhere tucked away in the mountains… there’s almost always a brewery nearby, and that brewery always has something unique to offer.

The routine is simple:

  • Try one of their signature beers
  • Grab a bite to eat
  • Take in the atmosphere
  • Talk to the people

And then, if they have one…

I grab a pint glass to bring home.

More Than a Glass—It’s a Time Capsule

Each glass on my shelf isn’t just a piece of glassware.

It’s a moment frozen in time.

When I look at them, I don’t just see logos—I see:

  • The town I was in
  • The people I was with
  • The road I traveled to get there
  • The conversations I had
  • The feeling of being somewhere new

It’s like each glass holds a memory that never fades.

A Growing Collection of Incredible Stops

Over the years, the collection has grown… and with it, the stories.

I’ve picked up glasses from places like:

  • Voodoo Brewing Co
  • Moab Brewery
  • Railroad Brewing Company
  • Superior Bath House Brewing
  • Beaver’s Bend Brewing
  • Yellowstone Brewing Company
  • Lizard Tail Brewing
  • Rockyard Brewing Company
  • Snake River Brewery
  • Mountain Fork Brewery
  • Pelican Brewing Company

And that’s just scratching the surface.

Each one represents a stop on the journey… and the list keeps growing.

The “Bummer” That Comes With the Territory

Now, let’s talk about the one downside…

There’s nothing worse than finding an awesome brewery, having a great experience, and then realizing:

They don’t sell glasses.

It’s a tough moment.

So if you happen to own a brewery and you’re reading this…

Sell the glasses.

You’re not just selling merchandise—you’re giving people a way to take a piece of your story home with them.

The Secret Ingredient: The People

Here’s something I didn’t expect when this tradition started…

The people.

The bartenders. The servers. The locals.

These are the people who turn a good stop into a great experience.

They know:

  • The best places to visit
  • The hidden gems most people miss
  • What’s worth your time—and what’s not

And if you’re willing to ask, listen, and engage…

You’ll walk away with more than just a drink.

A Perfect Example: Yellowstone

On my first trip to Yellowstone, I stopped at Citizens 33 Brewery.

Great place. Great atmosphere. Great food. Great beer.

But… no glass.

(Still a little salty about that one.)

But here’s where the magic happened…

The bartender started talking with me—not just about the beer, but about the area.

Turns out, he used to be a guide at Yellowstone National Park.

What are the odds?

He gave me:

  • Insight on how to navigate the park
  • Tips on what to prioritize
  • Advice on what to skip
  • Ways to maximize the experience

That one conversation completely changed my trip.

And yes… he got a very good tip.

Because that kind of knowledge, that kind of experience, is priceless.

The Deeper Meaning Behind the Tradition

Over time, I realized something important…

This isn’t just a collection.

It’s a ritual.

It’s a way of:

  • Slowing down during travel
  • Connecting with local culture
  • Being present in the moment
  • Creating intentional memories

Instead of rushing from one tourist spot to another, I take time to:

  • Sit
  • Experience
  • Talk
  • Learn

And that changes everything.

Bringing It All Back Home

When I get home and look at my collection, I’m not just remembering where I’ve been…

I’m reliving:

  • The laughter
  • The conversations
  • The discoveries
  • The unexpected moments

It’s like having a shelf full of mini adventures.

And every time I pour a drink into one of those glasses, I’m reminded:

Life isn’t just about the destination.
It’s about the moments you create along the way.

Find Your “Glass”

It doesn’t have to be beer glasses.

It could be:

  • Coffee mugs
  • Stickers
  • Photos
  • Journals
  • Anything that connects you to your experiences

The key is creating something that:

  • Grounds your memories
  • Tells your story
  • Grows with your journey

For me, it just happens to be a pint glass.

And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

One Last Thing…

If you’ve got a favorite brewery I need to add to my list…

Or a place that actually sells glasses (very important)…

Let me know.

Because this collection—and the adventure behind it—

Is far from over.

A Young Couple’s Dream Checklist

Young Couple holding a clip board and dreaming about the future.

A Young Couple’s Dream Checklist

Building a Life Together—One Goal at a Time

When two people come together, something powerful happens.

It’s not just love… it’s vision.

Dreams start forming. Plans begin taking shape. And suddenly, life isn’t just about “getting through the day”—it’s about building something meaningful together.

At Make Peace With Life, we believe that having shared goals as a couple creates alignment, motivation, and a deeper connection. One of the best ways to bring those dreams to life?

👉 Create a checklist.

Not a rigid, stressful list—but a guiding roadmap that keeps you both focused, inspired, and moving forward together.

Why a Dream Checklist Matters

Life moves fast. Without intention, it’s easy to:

  • Put things off
  • Lose focus
  • Drift away from shared goals

A couple’s checklist helps you:

  • Stay aligned as a team
  • Turn dreams into actionable steps
  • Celebrate progress along the way
  • Create a shared sense of purpose

Think of it as your relationship blueprint—one that evolves as you grow.

The Young Couple’s Dream Checklist

Below is a mix of practical goals, meaningful milestones, and fun experiences to help you build a life you both love.

🏡 Foundation & Stability Goals

These are the building blocks of your life together:

  • Create a shared financial plan
  • Build an emergency savings fund
  • Pay off or reduce major debts
  • Establish and maintain good credit
  • Purchase your first home (or plan for it)
  • Create a comfortable and inspiring living space
  • Align on long-term financial goals

💼 Career & Personal Growth

Strong individuals create strong relationships:

  • Support each other’s career goals
  • Celebrate promotions, new jobs, or business ventures
  • Invest in learning (courses, certifications, books)
  • Encourage personal passions and hobbies
  • Create a healthy work-life balance

✈️ Travel & Adventure Goals

Experiences are where memories are made:

  • Take your first trip together
  • Plan an annual vacation
  • Visit a dream destination
  • Create a travel bucket list
  • Take spontaneous weekend getaways
  • Try something adventurous together (hiking, scuba, road trips)

❤️ Relationship Milestones

Celebrate your journey as a couple:

  • First anniversary celebration tradition
  • Monthly or weekly date nights
  • Celebrate meaningful “firsts” (first home, first trip, etc.)
  • Create your own traditions
  • Practice open and honest communication
  • Work through challenges as a team

🎉 Life Experience Goals

These are the moments that shape your story:

  • Host your first gathering or party together
  • Celebrate holidays in your own unique way
  • Volunteer or give back as a couple
  • Attend concerts, events, or festivals
  • Build a circle of friends and community

💞 Emotional & Connection Goals

This is where the real magic happens:

  • Regularly check in on each other emotionally
  • Practice gratitude for one another
  • Keep intimacy and affection a priority
  • Grow together spiritually or metaphysically
  • Learn how to support each other during tough times

⏳ Creating a Timeline Without Pressure

Here’s the key…

This is not about rushing.

It’s about intention and progress.

Some couples like to:

  • Set 1-year goals
  • Create 5-year visions
  • Revisit and adjust their checklist regularly

The goal isn’t perfection—it’s momentum.

🔑 The Secret: Dream Together, Act Together

A checklist only works if both people are:

  • Involved
  • Excited
  • Committed

Sit down together and:

  • Talk about what you truly want
  • Write it down
  • Prioritize what matters most
  • Take small steps forward

Because small steps, taken together, lead to big results.

🌟 Final Thought: Build a Life You’re Excited to Live

At the end of the day, this checklist isn’t about checking boxes.

It’s about creating a life where:

  • You feel secure
  • You feel fulfilled
  • You feel connected

And most importantly…

👉 You feel like you’re building something meaningful together.

💬 Let’s Hear From You

If you’re in a relationship—or planning your future with someone:

What’s one dream on your checklist right now?
Is it a home? A trip? A milestone?

Share it and start bringing it to life.

Because when couples dream together—and take action together—

That’s how they create something truly powerful…
and that’s how you Make Peace With Life.

Who’s Your Team? It’s College Football Time!

Octo-Foot with Penn State Flag and may other college football mascots behind him.

Who’s Your Team? It’s College Football Time!

College football is back, which means Saturdays are once again filled with fight songs, tailgates, rivalries, traditions, questionable referee decisions, and grown adults yelling at televisions as if the players can actually hear them.

Here at Make Peace With Life™, we believe in positive energy, respecting other people’s choices, and finding common ground with everyone.

Except possibly on college football Saturday.

Make Peace With Life™ and our slightly unusual spokesman Octo-foot™ love the energy of ALL college football. There’s something special about campuses coming alive, marching bands playing, fans gathering, and generations of families cheering for the same school.

But we're not pretending to be neutral.

Our allegiance is firmly planted in Happy Valley with the Penn State Nittany Lions!

WE ARE... PENN STATE!

Now we want to hear from YOU.

Announce your college football allegiance! Tell us who you’re cheering for this season. Penn State? Ohio State? Michigan? Alabama? Georgia? Texas? Notre Dame? Oregon? Some underdog that makes everyone ask, “Wait... they have a football team?”

We don't care. Plant your flag. Wear your colors. Defend your mascot. Bring the energy.

Because for a few hours every Saturday, we can put the serious stuff aside, cheer ridiculously loudly, enjoy one of America's greatest sports traditions, and Make Peace With Life™—at least until the next questionable holding call.

Who’s your team?  Put it in the Comments

The Power Before the Trip: Why Anticipation Is Half the Magic

A man with a map and a calendar smiling

The Power Before the Trip: Why Anticipation Is Half the Magic

Let’s be honest… sometimes the best part of a trip starts long before you ever leave your house.

It begins the moment you say:
“We should go somewhere.”

From that second on, something shifts—not just in your calendar, but in your mind and your energy.

At Make Peace With Life, we talk a lot about balance, energy, and finding your peace… and one of the most overlooked tools for that is the anticipation of a trip.

The Mental Boost of Planning Something to Look Forward To

There’s a reason you feel a little lighter after booking a trip.

Your brain thrives on hope, excitement, and future rewards. When you know something good is coming, it naturally begins to:

  • Reduce stress
  • Improve mood
  • Increase motivation
  • Help you push through tough days

Suddenly, that long work week doesn’t feel quite as heavy because in the back of your mind you’re thinking:

“Just a few more weeks… we’re going.”

That countdown becomes a mental anchor—something positive you can return to when life gets a little chaotic.

The Countdown Effect: Small Moments of Joy Every Day

Let’s talk about one of the most underrated parts of travel…

The countdown.

  • “30 days to go…”
  • “2 weeks…”
  • “We leave tomorrow!”

Each of those milestones creates a small burst of excitement.

It’s like giving yourself moments of joy leading up to the big event. Even on a random Tuesday, you can stop and think:

“This time next week, I’ll be somewhere completely different.”

And just like that, your entire mood shifts.

The Metaphysical Side: Energy Moves Before You Do

From a metaphysical perspective, your energy starts traveling before your body ever does.

When you:

  • Visualize your destination
  • Talk about your plans
  • Look at photos of where you’re going
  • Imagine how you’ll feel when you’re there

You are already beginning to align your energy with that experience.

You’re:

  • Opening yourself up to new perspectives
  • Creating space for change
  • Breaking out of routine patterns
  • Raising your energy through excitement and curiosity

In a way, the trip has already begun.

Travel as a Reset Button for Life

Life can get repetitive.

Same routine. Same environment. Same energy.

And while there’s comfort in that, there’s also a point where you need something different.

That’s where travel becomes powerful.

Even just knowing a trip is coming creates a psychological and energetic reset:

  • You give yourself permission to step away
  • You interrupt the monotony
  • You prepare your mind for change

It’s like telling yourself:

“A break is coming. A new experience is coming. Something different is coming.”

And that alone can be incredibly healing.

Treating Yourself Is Not Selfish—It’s Necessary

Here’s something many people struggle with…

They feel guilty about taking time for themselves.

But let’s be clear:

Treating yourself is part of maintaining your balance.

Planning a trip—big or small—is a way of saying:

  • “I deserve this.”
  • “I need this.”
  • “I’m allowed to recharge.”

And that mindset shift is powerful.

Because when you come back from that trip, you’re not just rested—you’re reset, re-energized, and more present in your daily life.

Recharging Your Batteries Before You Even Leave

Here’s the beautiful part…

You don’t have to wait until the trip starts to feel better.

The anticipation alone begins to:

  • Recharge your emotional energy
  • Improve your outlook
  • Increase your patience with daily stress
  • Bring more positivity into your life

It’s like plugging your phone in at 50% instead of waiting until it hits 1%.

You start recharging early.

And Remember… It Doesn’t Have to Be Big

Just like we always say at Make Peace With Life…

Travel doesn’t have to be:

  • Expensive
  • Far away
  • Complicated

It can be:

  • A weekend getaway
  • A visit to family
  • A day trip somewhere new
  • Even a planned “escape day” in your own town

The key isn’t the destination.

It’s the intention behind it.

The Journey Begins Before the Journey

So if you’re thinking about planning a trip…

Do it.

Not just for the destination—but for everything that comes before it:

  • The excitement
  • The planning
  • The countdown
  • The shift in your energy

Because sometimes…

The anticipation of the trip is the first step in making peace with your life.

Let’s Hear From You

Got a trip coming up?

Where are you going?
What are you most excited about?
How does the anticipation make you feel right now?

Share your thoughts and let’s build that excitement together.

September 11, 2026: Remembering the Day That Changed Our Energy Forever

Image of the twin towers with sunlight between them.

September 11, 2026: Remembering the Day That Changed Our Energy Forever

Twenty-five years ago today, our nation experienced a tragedy that changed us forever. On September 11, 2001, thousands of innocent people began what should have been an ordinary Tuesday morning—going to work, boarding airplanes, saying goodbye to their families—without knowing how profoundly the day would change their lives and ours. Beyond the physical destruction and heartbreaking loss of life, 9/11 seemed to alter the energy of an entire nation. There was fear, confusion, anger, and an overwhelming spiritual sadness that could be felt everywhere. Something about the innocence we carried before that morning disappeared. The world suddenly seemed a little less safe, and life felt more fragile than many of us had ever allowed ourselves to imagine.

Yet within that darkness, we also witnessed an extraordinary amount of human light. Strangers helped strangers. Communities gathered together. People hugged their families a little tighter and told one another they loved them. For a time, many of the things that normally divide us seemed incredibly small compared with what connected us. From a metaphysical perspective, perhaps one of the lasting lessons of September 11 is the reminder that our lives are deeply intertwined. We affect one another with our actions, our compassion, our courage, and the energy we bring into the world. We cannot undo what happened that day, but we can honor those who were lost by remembering how precious life is and by choosing whenever possible to add kindness rather than hatred, connection rather than division, and love rather than fear.

Today, we remember every innocent life lost on September 11, those who later died from illnesses connected to their work at the sites, and the families and friends who have carried that absence for twenty-five years. We honor the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, emergency personnel, military members, medical professionals, rescue and recovery workers, volunteers, and countless ordinary people who stepped forward when others desperately needed help. And we send our thoughts toward everyone who still carries emotional wounds from that day. However September 11 touched your life, may you continue to find healing, peace, and hope. We remember those we lost. We honor those who served. And we carry their memory forward as we continue trying, together, to Make Peace With Life.

Turn It Up the Right Way: How to Set Up Your Home for the Best Music Experience

Close up Picture of a Phonograph Needle on a Record

Turn It Up the Right Way: How to Set Up Your Home for the Best Music Experience

There’s a big difference between hearing music and actually experiencing it.

Most people hit play on their phone, maybe connect to a speaker, and call it a day. And hey, that works… technically.

But if you’ve ever sat in a space where the music just hits differently—where you feel it, not just hear it—you already know there’s something more going on.

Setting up your home for great sound isn’t about being an audiophile with a lab coat and a $10,000 system. It’s about creating an environment where your music can actually breathe… and where you can connect with it on a deeper level.

Streaming Music: It’s Easy… But Let’s Do It Better

Streaming has made music more accessible than ever. With platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon Music, you have millions of songs at your fingertips.

But here’s the catch:

Convenience doesn’t always equal quality.

To get the best sound from streaming:

  • Use a dedicated speaker system instead of your phone or laptop
  • Consider Wi-Fi speakers (like Sonos or similar systems) for better clarity than Bluetooth
  • Turn on high-quality streaming settings in your app (this is often hidden in settings and makes a big difference)

And here’s a simple but powerful tip:

Place your speakers at ear level when you’re sitting down

It sounds obvious, but most people have speakers too high, too low, or tucked into a corner like they’re being punished.

Speaker Placement: The Secret Sauce

This is where the magic happens.

You could have amazing speakers, but if they’re placed poorly, your music will sound… just okay.

Here’s how to level up:

  • Create a triangle: Your two speakers and your listening position should form an equal triangle
  • Keep speakers away from walls (at least a few inches) to avoid muddy bass
  • Avoid corners unless you want your music to sound like it’s trapped in a box
  • Angle speakers slightly inward toward where you sit

Think of it like this:

Your speakers are telling a story… and you want to be sitting in the front row, not off to the side checking your phone.

Vinyl: The Ritual of Sound

Now let’s talk about vinyl.

Because this isn’t just about sound—it’s about experience.

Putting on a record forces you to slow down:

  • You choose the album
  • You place it on the turntable
  • You drop the needle

And just like that, you’re not multitasking anymore—you’re listening.

To get the best from your record player:

  • Place it on a stable, vibration-free surface (no wobbly tables)
  • Keep it away from speakers to prevent feedback
  • Invest in decent external speakers or a receiver system (this is where vinyl really shines)

And here’s a key tip:

Don’t cram your turntable into a tight shelf.

Give it space. Let it exist like the centerpiece it is.

Because it kind of is.

Room Matters More Than You Think

Your room is part of your sound system.

Hard surfaces like:

  • Bare walls
  • Tile floors
  • Large windows

Can reflect sound and create echo.

Soft elements like:

  • Rugs
  • Curtains
  • Furniture

Help absorb sound and make everything feel warmer and fuller.

You don’t need to turn your living room into a recording studio…

But a rug and some soft textures can make your music go from “meh” to “wow.”

Multi-Room vs. One Perfect Spot

You have two options:

1. Music Everywhere

Set up multiple speakers throughout your house so music flows with you.

Great for:

  • Entertaining
  • Cooking
  • Moving around

2. The Listening Zone

Create one dedicated space where you sit and really listen.

Great for:

  • Vinyl
  • Deep listening
  • Escaping the noise of the world

Honestly, the best setup is a mix of both.

The Metaphysical Side of Sound

Music isn’t just sound waves—it’s energy.

It shifts your mood.
It changes your environment.
It can take you back in time or pull you into the present moment.

When your setup is right, that energy flows cleanly.

You’re not just hearing notes—you’re feeling intention, emotion, and vibration.

And that’s where music becomes something more than background noise.

A Slightly Humorous Truth

If your current setup involves:

  • A phone speaker
  • A random Bluetooth device in the corner
  • And yelling “Can you hear that?” from another room

It might be time for an upgrade.

Your favorite songs deserve better.

And honestly… so do your ears.

Final Thought

You don’t need the most expensive gear to enjoy great music.

You just need:

  • Thoughtful placement
  • A little intention
  • And a willingness to actually listen

Because when everything is set up right, music stops being something you put on in the background…

And becomes something you experience.

And in those moments—when the sound is just right, the room feels perfect, and the music hits exactly how it should…

You’re not just listening.

You’re connecting.

10 Things Couples Should Do Naked (Besides the Obvious)

Couple under Cover Watching a movie

10 Things Couples Should Do Naked

(Besides the Obvious)

Let’s just address the elephant in the room right away…

Yes, being naked together usually leads to one thing.

But what if I told you there’s a whole world of fun, ridiculous, slightly awkward, and surprisingly connecting things couples can do naked that have nothing to do with the obvious?

Sometimes stripping things down—literally—removes pressure, expectations, and all the usual “performance” energy, and replaces it with something far better:

Playfulness. Connection. Realness.

And maybe a little laughter when things get… bouncy.

1. Cook a Meal Together

Nothing says trust like handling hot pans while completely unclothed.

There’s something oddly fun about cooking together with zero barriers—just make sure you:

  • Keep a safe distance from splattering oil
  • And maybe avoid bacon unless you’re feeling brave

It turns a normal activity into something memorable… and slightly dangerous in the best way.

2. Have a Dance Party

Put on your favorite music and just let loose.

No outfits. No judgment. No “do I look weird doing this?”

Spoiler alert: you probably will look weird.

That’s the point.

It’s freeing, hilarious, and oddly intimate in a way that has nothing to do with romance and everything to do with being completely comfortable together.

3. Do a Workout (If You Dare)

Try a simple workout—yoga, stretching, or even light exercises.

You’ll quickly discover:

  • Balance is different
  • Motivation increases (for reasons we won’t discuss)
  • And some movements feel… very different

It’s equal parts fitness and comedy.

4. Clean the House

Believe it or not, some people swear this is meditative.

There’s something about:

  • The movement
  • The focus
  • The simplicity of the task

Plus, it adds a level of humor to chores that normally feel like a punishment.

Vacuuming has never been this entertaining.

5. Play a Board Game

Chess. Cards. Even something competitive.

There’s something hilarious about trying to maintain a serious game face while completely naked.

Trash talk hits different.

And somehow, losing feels even more dramatic.

6. Have Deep Conversations

This is where things shift from funny to powerful.

When you remove all physical barriers, there’s a subtle energetic shift that can make conversations feel:

  • More open
  • More honest
  • More real

It’s like saying, “Here I am—no layers, no masks.”

That kind of vulnerability builds connection in a completely different way.

7. Watch a Movie

It sounds simple, but it hits different.

  • No distractions
  • No phones
  • Just relaxing together

Also, blankets suddenly become the most valuable item in the house.

8. Go for a (Private) Swim

If you have access to a private pool, hot tub, or secluded spot—this one is a game changer.

Water adds a whole new sensory experience:

  • Weightlessness
  • Warmth
  • Freedom

It’s peaceful, playful, and feels a little rebellious in a fun way.

9. Give Each Other Massages

This one is obvious-adjacent… but still counts.

Slow things down. Focus on relaxation instead of expectation.

It becomes less about where it leads and more about:

  • Connection
  • Touch
  • Being present with each other

And honestly, that’s where the magic really is.

10. Just Exist Together

No activity. No agenda.

Just sit, lay down, or relax together and do… nothing.

This might sound boring, but it’s actually one of the most powerful things you can do.

Because being completely comfortable doing nothing—completely yourself—is a level of connection most couples never fully reach.

A Slightly Humorous Truth

At some point during all of this, one of you will:

  • Get cold
  • Trip over something
  • Or question why this seemed like a good idea

That’s normal.

That’s part of the fun.

Final Thought

Being naked together doesn’t always have to be about intimacy in the traditional sense.

Sometimes it’s about:

  • Letting your guard down
  • Laughing together
  • Being completely comfortable in your own skin—and each other’s presence

When you remove the layers—literally and figuratively—you create space for something deeper.

And sometimes… that deeper connection starts with something as simple as dancing in your living room with no clothes on.

Which, when you really think about it…

Is a pretty great way to Make Peace With Life—and each other.  Don't forget to check out makepeacewithlife.com

Dr. Rob Alex, Metaphysician

Listen in as we discuss his book, Making Peace With Life, Dr. Rob Alex takes you on a deeply human, refreshingly honest, and surprisingly humorous journey through the chaos, beauty, heartbreak, energy, and wonder of being alive.

This isn’t a book about chasing perfection.

It’s about embracing the full spectrum — the ups, the downs, the middle ground, the transitions, the questions, the endings, and the beginnings.

Inside these pages you’ll explore:

  • Why there is no real “finish line” in life — and why that’s good news
  • How life’s hardest moments often become your greatest teachers
  • The metaphysical energy that connects you to every other life on the planet
  • Why your life is both a tiny drop… and an entire universe
  • How music, memories, impact, and love glue everything together
  • Why asking better questions may matter more than finding answers
  • How to stop defining yourself by age, status, or comparison
  • And why your life has unlimited value — even when you forget it does

Blending psychology, personal development, metaphysical insight, and everyday humor, Dr. Rob Alex writes like the friend who hands you cosmic wisdom and a high-five at the same time.

This book will not give you all the answers.

It will give you something far more powerful:

Permission to breathe.

Permission to question.

Permission to adjust.

Permission to live fully.

And most importantly —

Permission to make peace with life exactly as it is… while still growing into what it can become.
